Undz To Roll Out Underwear Vending Machines in Canada and U.S.

Canadian underwear brand Undz, founded in 2008, is preparing to roll out a series of vending machines in high-traffic locations throughout Canada and the United States, Owner Bertrand Dore told The Underwear Expert in a recent interview.

The Canadian men’s brand has been wildly successful the last six months: they’ve sold nearly a quarter million pairs of underwear and signed distribution agreements in Japan, Europe and the U.S.  The low cost high quality brand sees an opportunity to capitalize on its increasing popularity with these vending machines.

Dore sees huge publicity potential in these “interactive billboards.”  The initial thinking behind these machines was “mostly publicity” driven, he told us, but with vending machine placement agreements that will place nearly 200 machines in the U.S. by the end of 2012, it’s clear the potential is unlimited.

The machines will be placed in high traffic areas like hospitals, universities and airports and sell underwear sizes S-XL.  Six colors will always be available, and will rotate on a weekly basis.

To accommodate a potentially diverse client base, Undz will sell 95% cotton, 5% spandex boxers and briefs in “styles that will be quite basic.”  But, Dore told us, the machines will maintain the “serious quality” that can be found in the underwear sold on their website and through retailers.

The machines will take cash and credit card, and Undz will offer an “unworn return policy.”

UNDERWEAR, ICE CREAM, STAND, MONTREAL,

The Canadian company Undz recently opened a small, but superb men’s underwear stand made out of an actual 1960s ice cream stand. They sell colorful men’s underwear directly from the bowl and gives them tempting names: Pistachio, Strawberry, Apple and more.

Montreal is a beautiful place in November, especially since winter is close and the snow is accumulating. If you’re shopping through St-Catherine’s Street, you’ll find the cutest ice cream stand in town. Undz staff, dressed as vintage waiters, also pack the goods in two crazy ways. For one, some of the underwear comes with actual brown waxed paper wrapping (exactly like we used to have at the meat market) with a simple fluorescent sticker to seal the deal. Furthermore, when you buy four or more you have their signature fluorescent tissue box available in three colors.

Undz is one good reason to visit Montreal this holiday season.

UNDERWEAR MEAT PACK

The relatively new online men’s underwear brand Undz gives customers the option of playfully packaged underwear with the Undz Meat Pack. Since its creation, the company has offered clients the choice between 3 actual fluorescent tissue boxes to keep their future underwear warm through shipping, but the addition of the Undz Meat Pack has taken things to the next level.

Remember the comforting brown waxed paper that supermarket butchers use to wrap your fillet Mignon with? This is exactly what Undz uses to wrap their goods with the meat pack packaging option. Just imagine your lover’s look when they unwrap this colorful underwear in its Undz Meat Pack.

UNDERWEAR VENDING MACHINE

The colorful new male underwear brand Undz is now selling their underwearfrom vending machines.

The vending machine is beautifully branded with funny images and Undz’s colored boxers in the display. The underwear is of high quality and sells for only ten dollars. They are currently on display in the YUL airport in Montreal, and are perfect for on-the-go travelers who may have run our of a fresh pair of skivvies. Credit card is not yet an option at these vending machines, so be sure to have cash on hand. Also, be prepared to be near-blinded by the color of this product, which comes in a bright pink hue. If you are comfortable rocking this color, then these Undz are for you.
